OBALGA Boss Makes Case For Fallen Heroes
A call has gone to Nigerians to support the families of fallen heroes who lost their lives while fighting for the unity of the country.
The chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Rivers State, Hon. Timothy Nsirim, made the call during a special thanksgiving service in honour of the fallen heroes and families of Nigerian legionnaires at Saint Nicholas Anglican Church, Woji.
Prince Nsirim commended the Nigerian Legion for the services rendered to the nation by keeping the country united and peaceful.
The council boss maintained that no amount of support given to the legionnaire would be too much for their contribution and sacrifices made and called on Nigerians, to pray for the families of the fallen heroes.
He, however, disclosed that his administration would provide for the legionnaires and their families and charged them to be a vanguard of peace in their communities.
In his sermon, the Officiating Priest, Reverend Bright Welekwe, called on Nigerians to have faith in God as this is the only way the country could move to a greater height.
