Members of the Enugu State House of Assembly, yesterday passed into law the Budget Estimate of N109, 199, 243,000.00 for the services of the government of the State for the year 2019.
It would be recalled that on December 17, 2018, exactly one month ago, the state Governor, chief Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, presented a budget estimate of N109, 199, 243,000.00 for the 2019 fiscal year before the members of the Enugu State House of Assembly.

In compliance with the governor’s appeal, the House passed the appropriation bill into law, pending the governor’s assent to become a law.
Last week Tuesday, the bill scaled second reading and the Speaker, Hon. Edward Ubosi, mandated the House standing committee on Finance and Appropriation to collect and collate reports from different committees within two days.
Ubosi equally urged various committees to round off budget defence to be ready for the passage of the bill into law.
