ABFF Appeals For Support
President, Amateur
Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation of Nigeria (ABFF) Soye Elekima has sent a passionate plea to the Rivers state government and corporate bodies in Nigeria to give maximum support to the Federation in its desire to host a befitting African Bodybuilding and Fitness Championship in October, 2016.
Elekima made this passionate plea at the ongoing inaugural Arnold Classic Africa, holding in Sandton, South Africa. In a chat with the international media covering the event here at the Sandton Convention centre, Elekima pointed out that given the colourful and impressive atmosphere seen here, Nigeria must deliver a perfect continental showpiece.
Speaking further, he specifically called on the Rivers state Government and the sports loving governor of the state Barrister Nyesom Wike to use the 14th African Bodybuilding Championship, billed for Portharcourt , Rivers state, to put the city and state on the map. Elekima explained that success of the forthcoming event will showcase Portharcourt as a safe haven for investment and tourism.
The ABBFN chieftain informed the international media that a proposition has been sent to the Rivers state government ,and the Federation is optimistic of receiving a positive response, given that Governor Nyesom Wike had earlier promised to support the event, during a Radio interview
The President also charged the corporate bodies in Nigeria, and especially the ones doing business in Portharcourt to support the Federation, and make the 14th African Bodybuilding and Fitness championship a huge success.
