Rangers Get Mandate To Win League
Enugu State Governor Lawrence Ugwuanyi has tasked Enugu Rangers to win the Nigeria League this season after they last won a major trophy 32 years ago.
Rangers are top of the Nigeria league with 21 points from 11 matches.
Ugwuanyi was special guest on Sunday then ‘The Flying Antelopes’ pipped regional rivals FC Ifanyi Ubah to return to the summit of the Nigeria league.
He gave the team a cash gift of two million Naira after he gave them a pep talk in their dressing room at half time. Interestingly, Rangers have been in impressive form this season notching up points home and away. So far, they remain one of the form teams of the season with good chances of emerging champions if the good form and performance are sustained.
