RCD Player Targets Flying Eagles
A grassroots footballer with the Real Club Deportivo(RCD) Espanayo Academy Bacelona, rejoin the nation U-26 Team Spain in Port Harcourt, Jumbo Alfred, and has attributed his good performance in football to hard work and passion for the game.
Alfred disclosed this shortly after the club’s (RCD) training session at the training pitch of the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium, last week.
According to Alfred who is a Bonny born player, his love and commitment to the game remain the secret of his success.
“I love what I do as a football, I would give my best to ensure that I play in the national team somebody”, the RCD defender said
It would be recalled that Alfred was among the five RCD players who went to the national Under-20 camp in Abuja for screening exercise earlier this year.
He has the prospect of being called up to join the Flying Eagles team due to his performance during the screening.
Alfred said that he would do his best should he be called up to join the national team and promised to do his father-land proud.
Earlier, the Port Harcourt Director of the RCD Espanyol academy Mr Stanley Wariso, said that the player among other boys might be called up because of his good performance during the screening. He said that, the Flying Eagles Coach, John Obu, may be bidding his time to call him to camp.
