NAWOJ Lauds OPM For Humanitarian Services
The State Chapter of Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NÀWOJ), has described the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministry (OPM) Apostle Gift Chinyere as a gift to humanity.
According to a statement signed by Secretary of NÀWOJ in the State, Dr. Ngozi Anosike, the Chairperson of the association Mrs Susan Serekara- Nwikhana said this during the association’s courtesy visit to the General Overseer in his residence.
She noted that the free schools, scholarships within and outside Nigeria, free hospitals and free skills acquisition trainings among others, had positively touched so many lives.
According to her, the philanthropic gestures of the Apostle Chinyere have saved lives of so many women.
NÀWOJ Chairperson informed the man of God about the association’s activities especially the two- week breast cancer awareness campaign carried out in partnership with Engraved Life Foundation which revealed that so many women in the State were moving about with decaying breasts caused by cancer.
She regretted that the state had no free cancer and chemotherapy center to assist the poor women who cannot afford breast cancer treatment and called on the man of God to assist NÀWOJ in her fight against breast cancer.
Responding, Apostle Gift Chinyere lauded NÀWOJ for her proactive measures in addressing the issues of women and girls in the society and lamented at the rate at which women die because of cancer.
He wondered why government at all levels could not make adequate provisions for diseases such as cancer since early detection saves life , stressing that health issues are supposed to be the priority of leaders.
The man of God who chronicled his enormous projects aimed at saving lives hinted that government had failed to appreciate and support his projects expressed belief that God’s faithfulness would never fail him and promised to support NÀWOJ in addressing the issues of women.
