Nsiegbe Donates Typewriter To Blind Undergraduate

A visually impaired student
of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Port Harcourt Miss Isobo Stella Ekine has been presented with a set of brailer typewriter by a former federal lawmaker Mrs. Borna Blessing Nsiegbe.
Making the presentation at the child special school, Creek Road, Port Harcourt, Mrs. Nsiegbe said that the gesture which was part of the activities marking her birthday was to identify with the plights of the less privileged in the society.
The former lawmaker who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the March 19 rerun -election for Port Harcourt federal constituency II described the condition of Miss Ekine as very touching as apart from being visually impaired, she is also an orphan and pledged to do more to improve the conditions of the less privileged in the society.
Responding, the Vice Principal (Administration) of the school, Mrs. Atteng Patience,thanked Hon. Nsiegbe for the gesture and urged well meaning people in the society to support the school so as to improve the conditions of the less privilege in the society.
On her part, Miss Isobo Stella Ekine who is of the department of social studies, faculty of social sciences, Ignatius Ajuru University of Education said she was short of words to thank the ex-lawmaker for the gesture and pledged maximum use of the Brailer Machine.
Meanwhile, Hon. (Mrs) Boma Blessing Nesiegbe has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will resist any attempt to rig the forth-coming state and National Assembly rerun polls.
Addressing women at the Reclamation road, town Port Harcourt, Mile III and Eagle Island, Mrs Nsiegbe urged the women wing of the party to guide their votes during the elections.
She said that her office would continue to work out programmes that would impact positively on the women in the constituency.
Also speaking the wife of the former Mayor of Port Harcourt City Council, Mrs. Oroma Nmerukim urged the women to vote massively for the candidates of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) during the rerun poll.
