NPFL: Dolphins Host Pillars In Must Win Game
Dolphins FC of Port Harcourt will today continue its fight against relegation when it hosts Kano Pillars FC in a crucial Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL fixture.
The encounter will be one of the week 34 midweek games, and will hold at the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium.
It is expected that the match will be tough, following the precarious position of Dolphins, currently are on 17th position, with 35 points after 33 games and Pillars’ desire to end the season on a good note after surrendering their title.
Head coach of Dolphins FC Stanley Eguma had said that his team has the potentials to beat any team and considering the importance of the points at stake, it would be seen how he will rally his players to bring down the opposition.
According to him, the players have shown commitment and determination to win the remaining games, consequently, he is expecting a good performance today.
“By His grace an optimistic that we will win because we have trained intensively, besides, right now, Dolphins are in tight corner, so what we need is just victory”, Eguma said.
Captain of Dolphins, Festus Austin has promised that his team would be victorious to enable it move out of the red zone.
He noted that the spirit in camp has been very high ahead of the game.
“I know that today’s encounter will be tough but, I am confident that Kano Pillars will fall, we are focused on swimming out of the relegation zone.
Pillars are on seventh position on the log and plan to compound Dolphins woes in order to improve their chances for a continental ticket at the end of the season.
