Oshiomhole: APC’ll Not Discriminate Against Returnees

Oshiomhole of Edo State has assured defectors from other political parties to the All Progressives Congress (APC) that they would not be discriminated against.
Oshiomhole gave the assurance in Benin when he received, Chief Ugbogbo Edeigbe, an APC chieftain, who defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) but returned.
He said that every member of APC would be treated equally, adding that the party was a party of the people.
The governor promised that his administration and local governments would continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
He said the state government would continue to carry out more developmental projects because APC believed that satisfying the people should be its priority.
Earlier, the state APC Secretary, Chief Osaro Idah, said that the party was prepared more than ever to ensure that all APC candidates win in the March 28 and April 11 elections.
Idah expressed the party’s determination to collaborate with the Oshiomhole-led administration to sustain the present developmental stride in the state.
Meanwhile, the South-South candidates of the APC, led by the Director-General of the APC presidential Campaign Organisation, Gov. Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers, visited Oshiomhole in Benin.
The closed door meeting between the governor and his visitors lasted for 45 minutes, but the reason for the meeting was not made public.
