Firm Unveils New Technology Protect Data
A new mobile service to help provide succour to the ever-growing incidences of loss of mobile phones data through theft and other means has hit the Nigerian market with the introduction of MikuyaSafe Mobile Service by Miu Research Limited.
MikuyaSafe, according to Miu Research Limited, is an innovative mobile service that offers users complete freedom and flexibility to do a whole lot of stuff on their mobile phones including backing up, organising and managing their mobile phone contents (address book, video, pictures, audio, tasks, appointments, files etc) on a secured server on the web.
Accordingly, the SMS backup on Blackberry and Android phones, in the event of phone loss, damage or theft, the content of the phone can be wirelessly and seamlessly restored back to a new phone at the touch of a button.
Besides, it was stressed that, should the phone be stolen or lost, the contents can be remotely wiped out and phone locked, adding that, the phone can also be geo-located on a map, thus increasing the chances of phone recovery.
According to Head of ICT Projects at Miu Research, Eugene Christopher, the product adds value to mobile phone users. “The headache of replacing a phone goes beyond just purchasing a new handset.
