PVC, Tool For Electing Credible Leaders -Youth Leader
A youth leader in Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Engr Dee Ledisi, has described the Permanent Voter Card (PVC) as a tool for electing credible leaders.
Engr Ledisi, therefore, appealed to eligible voters in Gokana to get their PVC in readiness to elect people-oriented leaders.
Speaking during the Grassroot Development Initiative (GDI) “Operation Show Your PVC” at the Nkpo Primary School in Gokana, recently, Ledisi said the people’s votes must count in 2023 to address the current challenges facing the country.
He said the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is the party to beat in Gokana, saying there is no contention about the strength of the party to emerge victorious in next year’s elections.
He expressed happiness over the large turnout of the people for the PVC exercise in Gokana, adding that the PDP is on the way to victory.
Ledisi noted that the excellent performance of Governor Nyesom Wike in the last seven and a half years had silenced the opposition in the state.
According to him, no administration since the creation of the State, has surpassed Governor Wike’s strides in terms of peace and infrastructural development in the State.
He also commended the Chairman of Gokana Local Government Council, Hon Confidence Deekor, for restoring peace in the area.
He urged everyone to support the course of peace and also advised the youths to shun acts of criminality.
