LG Boss Inspects Ongoing Projects In Bakana
Executive Chairman of Degema Local Government Area (LGA), Hon. Michael John Williams, has enbacked on inspections of ongoing projects in the LGA.
This, he said, is part of his policy of supervising all projects executed by his administration.
The LG boss inspected the ongoing Creek Desiltation Project, which was undertaken to stem the tide of the perennial lockdown bedeviling the people of Bakana.
The lockdown, which halts economic activities in the area for a period of 3hrs on a daily basis, occurs during low tides as a result of silt deposits in the access creek, leading to the community.
Hon. Williams, who expressed satisfaction with the pace and quality of work done, expressed optimism that the issue of lockdown would be a thing of the past, upon completion of the project.
He later inspected other ongoing projects in the community, including; Chief India John Yellowe (Iyalla) Memorial Hall, Chief Tom Fouchee Iboroma Memorial Hall, as well as two public toilets at Duke and Iyalla’s Compounds respectively.
In his entourage during he inspection were top functionaries of his administration including, Hon. Ipalibo Yellowe; Chief of Staff, Hon. Tibo Fubara; Executive Assistant, Chief Ikronibo Blankson; Chief Protocol Officer, Hon. Alfredson Teme; Supervisor for Works and his Education counterpart; and Hon. Garrick Ibima Firstbury.
