Group Tasks Rivers Community Residents On Voters Registration
A non-political group known as Asha Committee of Friends of Ndashi in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, has called on the people of the area to go and register and get their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs).
The President of the group, Mr. Lawrence Onyenma made the call during the group’s monthly general meeting in Ndashi community recently.
Onyenma said it is important for the people to get their permanent voter cards to enable them choose their leaders come 2023.
He appealed to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to send its staff to units and wards to enable people in villages to register and called for extension of the closing date of the registration.
Onyenma also called on other bodies, elders, youths and CDC leaders in the area to educate the people on the importance of getting the permanent voter cards.
