Academy Plans Age Grade Swimming Competition
As part of efforts to raise awareness and also discover young talents, Love Nature Swimming Academy has concluded plans to hold an age grade swimming competition at the Lagos Country Club.
Head coach of the academy, Ifeoluwa Abimbola, said the competition is aimed at identifying young talents for the country.
“It is an age group swimming competition and we hope to encourage all swimmers in Nigeria to come out, show their skills and compete in a conducive environment to showcase their skills and talents,” she said.
According to Abimbola, the competition will present Nigeria with an opportunity to discover hidden talents in “schools and also encourage those lagging behind to work harder and do better.”
She added: “Our vision is to create an inclusive swimming academy, focused on maximising the potential of individual swimmers and teach core values of discipline, team work, hard work, and self confidence and also make swimming an enjoyable part of their life.”
She disclosed that the competition would hold on June 25 at the Lagos Country Club from 10.00 a.m.
