Monarch Confident On Wike’s Presidential Pursuit
A monarch in Rivers State and Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom in Okrika Local Government Area, King Ateke Tom, has expressed confidence in the presidential ability of Governor Nyesom Wike to take Nigeria to the next level of development.
Addressing journalists recently in Okochiri on the 2023 polls and Wike’s presidential ambition, King Tom stated that Governor Wike has the capacity as a seasoned administrator to uplift the well-being of Nigerians.
He, therefore, called for “everybody’s support and cooperation to the presidential bid of the governor to achieve his target of transforming Nigeria”.
The monarch stated that he was not only confident in the Governor’s ability to take Nigeria to a fruitful future, but also believed that he would clear the leadership mess of the All Progressives Congress (APC) under President Muhammadu Buhari.
“It is important for all Nigerians to rally support for Wike’s ambition as President next year in order to consolidate on the dividends of democracy. Politics should not be seen as do-or-die affair”, he said.
King Ateke commended the leadership doggedness of Governor Wike in Rivers State since 2015 to date, describing him as, “power broker, development pathfinder and economic guru”, saying that this has “brought rapid transformation in the State”.
He urged voters to “ensure that they vote in only candidates, like Governor Nyesom Wike, that has the people’s perennial problems at their hearts, not those who are in power only to amass wealth to themselves at the detriment of the electorate”.
The monarch also called on the electorate to “mobilise support for the PDP for a repeat performance in the 2023 general elections in the country”.
