2023: Wike Deserves Victory -LG Boss
The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Council, Hon Anengi Barasua, has said that the Governor of Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike remains the best candidate among the presidential aspirants, at the forthcoming general election next year.
According to her, other aspirants should drop their ambition and support Wike to move the country forward.
Barasua, who stated this shortly after the PDP Ward Congress in Bonny recently, said she has not seen any Governor in Nigeria who is more women-friendly than Governor Wike.
“ I can assure you, Nigerian women will go out and vote Governor Wike.
“In the history of Nigeria, I have not seen any governor or leader who has shown much love for women than him.
“I am a typical example, likewise my colleagues across the 23 LGAs in Rivers State.
“Today in Rivers State women occupy the position of Deputy Governor, Senator, Commissioners and other top positions, courtesy of our amiable Governor.
We are ready to persuade our husbands, children, youths and fathers to vote for Wike, because he has solution to Nigeria’s problems,” Barasua said.
She described the just concluded ward congress in the LGA as credible and successful and reiterated that Peoples Democratic (PDP) was the only party in Bonny and vowed to sustain it.
The council boss advised would be delegates to vote credible leaders that would continue from where Wike stopped during the party primaries.
“ I advise you against gratification, which is the bane of our society. Rivers State needs someone who will follow the footsteps of Wike. Do not betray the confidence reposed in you,” she stated.
