Rivers NUJ Expresses Shock Over Death Of Member
The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State Council, has expressed shock over the sudden demise of its member, Joseph Ajuomiwe Ezuma of Correspodents’ Chapel.
A pioneer executive member of Correspondents’ Chapel of Rivers State Council, Ezuma died on Monday morning after a brief illness.
A release signed by the Assistant Secretary of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Rivers State Council, Esther Obialor, conveys the State Council’s condolences to his wife, daughter and members of the Correspondent’s Chapel of the Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ).
According to the statement: “The news of Ezuma’s demise is not just shocking but has left a great vacuum in the Journalism profession as his wealth of experience was still needed to impact on the younger generations.
He was a prolific writer and an astute professional with core ethical and high moral standards, whose contributions to the growth of the union can not be quantified.
“The State Council will miss him greatly but takes solace in the fact that the indellible marks he left in the union will forever remain green in the hearts of members and colleagues alike. May his gentle soul rest in the bosom of the Lord”.
