NUJ Assures Army Of Support, Partnership
Chairman of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Rivers State, Comrade Stanley Job Stanley, has assured support and partnership with 6th Division through balanced reportage from the journalists in the state.
Job gave the assurance when members of the State NUJ Council paid a courtesy visit to General Officer of the 6th Division and Commander, Land Component Operation Delta Safe, Major General Olufeme Oluyede, on Wednesday in Port Harcourt.
Responding,Major General Oluyedeexpressed readiness to work with journalists in the state in order to move the country forward.
The GOC who spoke through the Chief of Staff to 6 Division Port Harcourt , Brigadier- General said the interest of the country should be put forward while reporting any news.
The GOC also emphasised that the ethics of the profession should guide any report in order to portray the country well in the outside world.
The visit witnessed NUJ exchange of gift items, speeches and special portraits by the new GOC and leadership of NUJ in Rivers State.
