Ward Congresses: Gogo-Jaja, Council Boss Commend Peaceful Conduct

Rivers State Commissioner for Water Resources and Rural Development, Dr Tamunosisi Gogo- Jaja and Chairman of Opobo/Nkoro Local Government Area, Hon. Eugene Joshua Jaja, have commended the smooth and peaceful conduct of last weekend’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ward congresses in the area.
Gogo-Jaja in an interview with newsmen shortly after the congress described the exercise as peaceful and without rancour, expressing satisfaction over the outcome and huge participation by party members.
On his part, Eugene Jaja expressed joy over the party ward congresses that held throughout the 11 Wards of the local government area.
The Ward Congresses were supervised by the LGA Returning Officer, Hon Adams Dabotorudima and the Electoral Officer, Hon Tonye Aberenika in company of the member representing Opobo/Nkoro Constituency, Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Adonye Kelly Diri and Hon. Daniel Legg-Jack, Opobo/Nkoro PDP Chairman at the LGA party secretariat. Hon Adams commended the oneness among party members.
The council boss, while celebrating the peaceful conduct of the party ward congresses at the Council Lodge said he was not surprised that the congresses were well coordinated, free and transparent throughout the 11 Wards of the LGA where new executives have been elected to carry out activities of the party at the ward level.
Addressing winners who took turns with their teeming supporters to visit the council boss at the lodge, Hon Jaja congratulated them and advised that they see the party’s interest first in all they do before their personal interest and ensure they will not disappoint the trust of party members that elected them.
