Nigeria ‘ll Overcome Security Challenges -Lawmaker
President, Christian Legislators Fellowship of Nigeria, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, has emhpasised the need for divine intervention in the affairs of the nation Nigeria as he noted that only prayers could solve the security challenges confronting the country.
Bwacha, who is also the Deputy Senate Minority Leader said that if Nigerians are strong and fervent in prayers, the scourge of security challenges confronting the country like armed banditry, insurgency, Kidnapping and others would be defeated
The law maker stated this in his speech yesterday during the 10th Anniversary of the National Prayer Breakfast organised by the fellowship in Abuja .
Senator Bwacha, who is representing Taraba South ; one of the constituencies hugely affected by insecurity, expressed optimism that Nigeria would overcome its security challenges.
His words “With the security, leadership and economic challenges confronting the country, we shall overcome. It requires our prayers.”
Bwacha explained that the programme was organised to reawaken the citizens and ensure that they could not afford to be careless about their Christian lives given the circumstances of recent times.
“We are admonished to pray without ceasing for our nation Nigeria and when we pray, the Lord who is a prayer answering God will answer us,” he added.
In his remarks, the President of International Church of End Time Movement, Rev. Paul Chita enjoined Christians not to entertain fear in living Christ-like lives, but always be just and fair in dealing with fellow human beings.
The cleric, who spoke on the “Fullness of Joy”, maintained that with these, they would be able to help the country surmount its challenges in every aspect of the economy.
According to him, it was only through fervent prayers to God that the country could overcome numerous challenges like the insecurity and economic woes, among others confronting it.
