Buhari’s Visit To Delta, A Ploy To Rig Guber Poll -PDP
The Delta State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has raised an alarm over the visit of President Muhammadu Buhari to the state, describing the visit as a ploy to rig Saturday’s elections.
Buhari, who was recently re-elected for a second term, visited Warri last Monday for another round of campaigns specifically for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Great Ogboru.
The state Publicity Secretary of the party, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza said the visit was a ploy to rig Saturday’s elections in favour of the APC candidates.
Osuoza, who stated this on Monday in Asaba, condemned President Buhari’s moves and schemes to rig Delta State’s governorship election as earlier boasted by the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole.
He said, “As President Muhammadu Buhari visits Warri for the second time in two months, it is not a surprise that tongues are wagging among the Peoples Democratic Party in the state that the trip is in bad taste, as the party supporters and Deltans in general are wondering why the President has always limited his visits to a microscopic Warri and ignoring the larger areas of the state.”
