The Tide in an interview with the Public Health Nurse, Mrs Blessing Amadi, stated that the programme was an annual event and it was mainly for chiefs and elderly men and women drawn from the 15 clusters in the Land East Hub that makes up over 200 communities engaged in by the Team of Social Investment Performance.

Also speaking, the SPDC Asset Manager, Land Hub, Mr Sam Ezugworie, stated that the progamme was an initiative taken some years ago to appreciate the elderly in the 15 clusters of over 200 communities where SPDC operated in the Niger Delta region.
