Cleric Predicts Second Term Victory For Wike
There is a prophecy declaring the Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike of having the divine mandate to govern the state for another four years.
Bishop Godknows Nifeipiri, of Christ and His Armies Church disclosed the prophecy to our Correspondent in an interview, in Port Harcourt.
Nifeipiri who spoke to The Tide after a communion marking the end of a 14- day fasting and prayer by the church, said God declared that there is no vacancy in Brick House and that Election 2019 is Wike’s own carry go.
According to the man of God, God has ordered Governor Wike to take Rivers state again with sound health, wisdom, knowlege and more understanding, for a second term.
“God has shunned all evil and given Governor Wike peace and security”, he said.
Bishop Nifeipiri explained that he led members of New Divine Vision , a prayer team of the church for a 14- day fasting and prayer with the theme “ Fully Obey God”, to seek the face of God on the forthcoming general elections in the state, where the revelation was made.
He further disclosed that the divine mandate called on Governor Wike to look at some of the governorship candidates of other political parties and to carry along those of them that have the fear of God in a unity government after the election.
Bishop Nifeipiri who described politics as a ‘divine game’ called on all contenders in the election to be shun violence.
He explained that “when on earth, among the millions that followed him, Jesus Christ chose only 12 disciples.
“ The needs of the flesh made rest to go away. Yet , the evil that scattered the rest, still affected one of the 12, Judas Iscariot , who betrayed Jesus .
“Wike should pray for increased God’s wisdom, knowledge and understanding. These three cardinal points will guide the governor through “.
On the other governorship candidates, he said , “Wike should not have any grudge against them because all these happen for the fulfilment of the purpose and to prove that election is a divine game.
“ Any one that has God fearing spirit and spirit of love, he should not hesitate to carry that one along”.
The man of said that the governor does not know him but he only knows the governor through the good work that he is doing in the state advised other governorship candidates to surrender and work with Wike for he has been given the divine mandate.
He quoted the Bible book of 2nd Corrintains chapter 6 verses 17— 18 as saying, “ Separate yourself from evil and I will receive you. You Will be my sons and daughters “
He urged Governor Wike to think more of the good things to do for the state for God has promised to grant him Restoration
“ What they have stolen from the state or made the state to lose shall be restored. His leadership will be granted peace and security till next four years”, he maintained.

Makarfi Resigns As PDP BoT Secretary
Senator Makarfi’s resignation comes on the heels of the national convention that saw the emergence of the new Chairman of PDP, Dr Kabiru Tanimu Turaki (SAN).
In his letter of resignation, which was addressed to the PDP BoT Chairman, Senator Adolphus Wabara, and made available to journalists in Kaduna on Monday evening, the former governor said, “Chairman and Members of the Board of Trustees may recall that about two months ago I had resigned as Secretary of the Board and posted same on the Board’s WhatsApp platform.
“Mr Chairman, you may also recall that you personally urged me to stay on until after a convention that produced a Chairman.”
He added that the principal reason he initially tendered his resignation then “and now, was and is still my belief that the National Chairman of the Party and Secretary of the Board of Trustees should not come from the same geopolitical zone.
“Now that a chairman has emerged from the North West, where I come from, it’s necessary to give him full space to do the needful. Accordingly, I hereby formally resign as Secretary of the Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party with effect from today, November 17th, 2025.”
While commending the BoT Chairman for his support during his tenure as Secretary of the Board, he stressed, “I truly appreciate the very respectful relationship between us during my period as Secretary,” adding that, “I also appreciate all Board members for their support and the good relationship that prevailed during my period as Secretary.”
Meanwhile, Dr Turaki on Monday pledged to ensure that power returns to the Nigerian people, urging the judiciary to uphold the tenets of democracy.
Dr Turaki, while giving his acceptance speech after the swearing-in of new officers at the end of the Elective Convention of the PDP in Ibadan, assured that there will be “no more impunity, no more suppression of the will of Nigerians”.
The chairman appealed to the judiciary to uphold the principles of stare decision, abiding by the decisions of the Supreme Court, and not to “willingly or unwillingly put yourselves in a situation where, rightly or wrongly, it may be assumed, correctly or incorrectly, that you are part and parcel of the process to truncate Nigerian democracy.”
According to him, the new leadership of the party would be open to listening to the yearnings of members, with a view to aligning with their will, declaring that “No more monkey dey work, baboon dey chop,” adding that “if baboon wants to chop, baboon must be seated to work.”
He noted that the PDP has maintained its original name, motto and logo, unlike the other parties that started with it, making it a recognised brand anywhere in Nigeria.
