Panel On Nkpolu Protest Submits Report To Monarch
The special Panel of Inquiry set up by Eze Worlu Wodo, the Paramount Ruler of Apara Kingdom in Obio/ Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State to investigate the remote cause of the youths protest at the Nkpolu junction last month that claimed the life of one Mr Aleruchi Woke and the destruction of valuables at the area has submitted its report to the monarch.
The seven-man committee which was headed by Hon Bright Amaewhule presented the 14-page document to the king last Friday at his palace in Rumuigbo before the chiefs and elders of the community.
Presenting the report, Hon Bright Amaewhule, member, Rivers State House of Assembly said the committee did a thorough job on the cause of the protest at Nkpolu junction and the immediate solution to the flooding in the area.
Amaewhule said the committee during its sitting invited the family of the deceased youth, Mr. Aleruchi Woke; owners of damaged Chicken Hills and other property; Chairman, Obio/ Akpor local government, Hon Solomon Abel Ekeh to its public hearing.
