The management of Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited (IEPL) has commiserated with the Group News Editor of The Tide Newspapers, Mr Nelson Chukwudi, over the demise of his father, late Pa Paul Chukwudi Ashikodi Ugbechi, whose passing occurred on August 11, 2018, at the ripe age of 102.
Speaking during an official condolence visit to the Group News Editor in his office at the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC) in Port Harcourt, last Wednesday, the IEPL’s Head, Corporate Communications, Dr Jossy Nkwocha, who led the management team said, “although he died at the glorious age of 102 years, and his passage would be considered a ‘celebration of life’, we still share with you the pain of an irreparable and irreplaceable loss of your dear father…
“We are told that Pa Paul Chukwudi Ashikodi Ugbechi was a peaceful and honest man, and lived a life of service to God and humanity, especially in his community, Isheagu in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State. He would continue to be remembered for his legacies,” Nkwocha said.
The multi-billion Naira petrochemicals and fertilizer company prayed the Almighty God to give the Editor and the entire family the fortitude to bear the loss; and grant the deceased’s gentle soul eternal repose in the bosom of the Lord.
Nkwocha assured the Editor of the readiness of the Indorama management to join him, the entire family and other sympathizers to give the deceased a befitting burial on Saturday, December 29, 2018, in Isheagu, Delta State.
In his response, the Group News Editor, Mr Nelson Chukwudi thanked the management of Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited for coming to commiserate with him on the exit of his father, adding that the company’s swift response was a mark of its proactive and pragmatic policy strategy towards addressing issues concerning internal and external publics as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR).
