Expert Wants Early Exposure Of Children To ICT
Parents have been advised to expose their children early to Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
Speaking with The Tide in Port Harcourt penultimate yesteday in an interview on the need for early exposure of children to Information and communication technology, Mr Chiduben Okolie, an ICT expert and consultant.
According to him “the earlier we start getting kids involved in ICT, the more advanced they will get before getting to the university and by the time they get to university they will start making money as student.
He said, “starting early will unleash their creative and innovative skills to start inventing things to solve societal problems”.
As he puts it, “the world has gone digital and no child should be left behind”
He noted that technology should be made an important part of daily life of children.
Mr Okolie said that information and communication technology would also serve as a major tool in job creation in Nigeria.
