Security Of Lives, Property, Our Priority – Banigo
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr. (Mrs.) Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has reiterated that the security of lives and property in the State is of utmost importance to the Governor Wike-led administration. The Deputy Governor stated this during a security meeting with the JTF Commander, Sector 3 Operation Delta Safe, Col. Fadairo and Lt. Col. A. M Ahamadu, Commanding Officer 130 Battalion, Harry’s Town as well as the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Degema Local Government Area, Chief Ombo Benibo at the Governments House in Port Harcourt.
Represented by her Senior Special Assistant on Security Elder Emmanuel Ibama, Dr. Banigo said security is key to the socio-economic and political development of a people, noting that “this is what informed the government’s huge investment on security.
She explained that the meeting between herself, the security, agencies and representative of Degema, Asari- Toru and Akuku Toru Local Government Areas was necessitated by the desire to stamp out all forms of criminality in the area.
”It has been a successful meeting; salient points were raised on how to mitigate security breaches and ensure that the area remains peaceful and crime free” Dr. Banigo stressed.
