RSG Hails Conduct Of JSS Exams
The Rivers State Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku has expressed satisfaction with the conduct of the on-going May/June 2017 Junior Secondary Examinations in the state.
Prof. Ebeku gave this assertion while speaking with newsmen in his office in Port Harcourt last Thursday.
The Commissioner stated that the Ministry was happy with the way the conduct of the examination was going on in some schools visited, adding that the Ministry would continue to ensure that examination malpractices were eliminated in the state.
He urged principals and teachers as well as private school owners where exams are been conducted to adhere to the directives of the state government to ensure that their schools were not involved in exam malpractises.
He, however, said there was minor challenges in some schools but averred that the conduct of the exam in the state had been peaceful and successful.
The state commissioner used the opportunity to assure the ministry’s commitment in providing a conducive learning environment in the state and added that any school caught indulging in examination mal-practises would be sanctioned.
