The chairman called on Christians to embrace and work with the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) which he said is the umbrella body of all Christian in Nigeria, instead of forming splinter groups for personal aggrandizement, they should also support Governor Wike led administration in the state by embarking on youth empowerment programmes and projects.
The minister of God, who is also the Vicar of St Philips Anglican Church Nkpor-Obio/Akpor local government, pleaded with the Governor to remember his promise to establish a bureau to empower Christians and the ministers of God at the grassroots level.
He therefore pleaded with the Governor to support the coalition with a befitting state secretariat and provide vehicles to the body to help in the propagation of the Christian faith and other religious activities at the grassroots level, and urged the local government caretaker committee chairman to do same in their local government.
The CAN branches coalition also joined the good people of Rivers State and well meaning Nigerians in congratulating Governor Wike over the bitch free yuletide celebrations which the body attributed to the goners’ trust in God in all his actions, his deep love for the people of the state. The 2016 Christmas Carol (Hossana 2016) which ushered in the peaceful yuletide season, laying the foundation for a Christian centre in the state to the glory of God.
Rev. Georgewill lauded the Governor’s empowerment programmes, roads construction and other infrastructural development projects, the victory of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State re-run election and his assurance to the good people of Rivers State that they will never suffer economic recession or victimization in the country, amongst other people orientated programmes.
He prayed God to give the Governor the grace, courage and wisdom to continue with his God inspired works to reposition Rivers State to an enviable position in the country.
