Insecurity: Nwuche Absolves Robinson
A former Deputy Speaker
of the House of Representatives, Chibudom Nwuche, has absolved the monarch of Ekpeyeland , Eze Robinson O. Robinson of any blame over the deplorable security situation in the area.
Nwuche in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, said accusations against Eze Ekpeye Logbo over the violent crimes in Ekpeyeland were borne out of mischief and malice.
He said the monarch was instrumental in the fragile peace currently being experienced in the area.
Nwuche also said the monarch of Ekpeye land should rather be commended for working hard with the state government and security agencies to ensure lasting peace that returned to the area.
Meanwhile the Caretaker chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area, Jerry Akuru has given assurances that the council was working with security agencies to arrest and prosecute the killers of one Ferdinand Ette.
The deceased was reportedly abducted and killed by unknown assailants at Akiogbologbo in Ahoada-West.
Akuru condemned the killing of Ferdinand Ette, and urged the people of Ahoada-West to remain calm and law-abiding.
The council boss pleaded that nobody should take the law into their hands as a result of the incident.
