RSG Assures Prompt Signing Of C of Os
The Rivers State Govern
ment has assured that the signing and obtaining of Certificates of Occupancy will be given prompt attention.
Commissioner for Urban Development and Physical Planning, Mr Chinyere Igwe who stated this in Port Harcourt, when Non-Indigenes Without Border, Port Harcourt City Chapter paid him a solidarity visit to him, said government was more determined to address the issue of “C of O” .
He explained that all the applications that had been sent to the governor had been signed without delay.
He however urged members of the group to be law abiding and to come to the ministry to verify the true position of any piece of land they would want to acquire, as well as obtain plan approval for their housing development.
The commissioner equally thanked the group and its leadership for the honour done him, and promised to carry them along in the scheme of things.
Earlier in his speech, the chairman of the Non Indigenes Without Border, Hon Godwin Ubong Iyang said the group came to express solidarity to the commissioner for his exemplary leadership style.
The Non Indigenes chairman explained that Igwe had played a key role in encouraging the group in politics, right from when he was a councilor, federal lawmaker and now a commissioner.
He assured him that the group will support him and his party in the forth-coming re-run elections in the state.
