Perm Sec Harp On Peaceful Work Culture
The permanent Secretary, Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mr Michael Ejiohno has charged staff of the ministry ot imbibe the attitude of working closely and peacefully with each other.
Mr Ejiohuo, who made the call at the state cultural centre during a meeting with staff of the council urged them to disciplined and tolerant to one another.
“Let every animosity amongst you be erased. Learn to forgive and let the council experience progress, as our unity is our strength, he said.
The permenant secretary urged them to avoid religious intolerance, calls and grade level considerations that were capable of breaking the bond among them.
While enumerating the benefits of team work, we called on workers to respect the views of their employers and also acquaint themselves with civil service rules, noting that, “any one that errs will be punished”.
Accordingly, the Permanent Secretary stated the importance of unionism in terms of protecting its members.
He, however noted that staff involvement in unionism also means that members are first employees before becoming members of the union, hence they should, as a matter of priority respect the polices of the organization or office they represent.
Ejiohuo lamented the fall in the council’s revenue which he attributed to inability of the council to stage shows for a very longtime adding that, the councils overhead is hinged on the revenue it generates.
