Wike ’ll Run Women Inclusive Govt – Perm Sec
The Permanent Secretary in the Special Projects Bureau of the Rivers State Government, Mrs Patience Ogbonnaya has expressed confidence in the willingness of Governor Nyesom Wike to run an inclusive government with involvement of the womenfolk.
She said that the Governor unveiled his enthusiasm to work with women by initially picking a woman, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo as his deputy.
Mrs Ogbonnaya who spoke in an interview with The Tide at the venue of the searing-in of Governor Wike and his deputy also expressed optimism that more women would be included in the new government to continue with the women affirmative initiative of the past PDP administration.
The Permanent Secretary who is also a woman leader said; “I know that Wike will build a Rivers State of unity with equitable development and he will recognise women”.
While narrating he terrible ordeal of how she forfeited her official residential quarter at Nzimiro street of Amadi Flat, Port Harcourt, Mrs Ogbonnaya lamented the ill-treatment allegedly meted out to her by the Head of Service, Samuel Long-John.
She alleged that the official residence was taken from her as a result of her strong supporter to the PDP, describing the act as a high level of impurity against her personality being one of the most senior officials of the government.
The Permanent Secretary appealed to the Governor Wike to intervene in the matter to enable her regain her official accommodation.
Ogbonnaya however urged the people of the state to give the present administration the desired maximum support and cooperation.
