Bizman Wants Wike To Leave Legacy For Rivers People
As the Rivers State Gov
ernor, Barrister Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike, received the mantle of leadership, a Port Harcourt-based businessman, Mr. Azubuike Nwakama has advised him not to think of how to amass wealth but should concentrate on leaving a legacy for people to see.
Nwakama, who gave the advice during an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt urged Barrister Wike to embark on projects that would make profound impact on the people of Rivers State.
According to him, “Wike should learn from the past and not to make money but a good name and what people will see and also play by the rules”.
Nwakama, who is the Managing Director of Galaxy Max Gardens and Hotel Nigeria Limited, Rumuagholu at the outskirt of Port Harcourt further enjoined the new governor not to rule the state with impunity.
He recommended that his government should be exemplary and reformatory to move the state forward.
Calling on the people of the state to give Chief Wike their maximum cooperation and support, Nwakama tasked the new governor to focus on the provision of infrastructure such as roads, healthcare delivery, electricity, quality education and water, stressing that lack of good drinking water has been one of the challenges of the people in the state.
Other challenging areas, according to him, are unemployment and youth empowerment.
He said tackling these areas would go a long way in reducing crime rate among youths.
He described Wike as God-sent and expressed confidence that he would revive the State.
He said if properly managed, Rivers State was viable enough to make the people enjoy the dividends of democracy.
