Leave Dakuku, Nte Alone, Andoni Youth Warn PDP
The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Andoni Local Gvernment Area has been told to stop making disparaging remarks against the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Adol Dakuku Peterside and the former chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Hon Orom Nte Ereforokumo.
A group of youths under the aegis of Andoni Patriotic Front who said this at a press briefing in Port Harcourt said that it was concerned about the lies being peddled by the PDP on the achievements of the two gentlemen in the area.
The President General of the group, Mr Effect Ogwuofa John urged the PDP to leave Dr Dakuku and Orom Nte Ereforokuma alone.
John particularly accused the PDP of using bulk sms to dish out lies against the former chairman of the council with a view to discrediting the APC in the area.
He listed the achievements of Hon Orom Nte as chairman of the council to include the linkage of Andoni to the national grid, the purchase of five 75 horsepower fly boats to ease the problems of transportation and buses for land transportation as well as the employment of over 150 junior workers in the council.
Mr John who was the Special Adviser to the former council chairman on Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) also listed other achievements of his boss to include, the construction of official quarters of the vice chairman, secretary to the council and Chief of Staff, adding that Hon Nte was a source of relief to many families during his tenure as the council chairman.
Also speaking, the Secretary General of the Andoni Youth Patriotic Front, Mr Oboada Monday said that the group was worried by the wicked propaganda of the PDP in Andoni.
‘We want to use this medium to inform and sensitise the people that are behind this cheap political propaganda that Hon Orom Nte is a respected politician in Andoni local government area.
