Driver Knocks Down Road Sweeper In Port Harcourt
A female staff of the Riv
ers State Waste Management Agency (RSWMA) has been knocked down by a bus driver.
Eyewitness informed The Tide that the deceased whose name was given as Mrs Charity Amos, was knocked down along the Obiri Ikwerre road while sweeping in the early hours of Wednesday.
The Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State waste management Agency, Mr Olalekan Ige, told The Tide that the Agency is working hard to apprehend the driver with the view to taking him to court.
He also said that, the body of the deceased has been deposited at the mortuary and urged members of the public to respect read cleaners aid vowed that the Agency will get to the root of the matter.
Effort to get the reactions of the police proved abortive as a police officer at the Ozuoba police station declined comment on the incident
