NPA Boss, Others For MEM PON Seminar

tor of Nigerian Port Authority (NPA), Alhaji Habib Abdullahi, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Services (NCS), Abdullahi Dikko Inde and the National President, Association of Nigeria Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA) are among other personalities expected to present papers at a seminar organized by Maritime, Energy Media practioners of Nigeria (MEMPON).
According to a statement by the President of the Association, Dr Ralph John and the secretary General, Golden Onyema, said the seminar with its theme, “Maximising Maritime and Energy Sectors,” will take place on October 23, 2014, at the Training Hall of Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Port Harcourt.
The statement has it that the ANLCA National President, Alhaji Olayiwole Shittu is the chairman of the occasion, and the Managing Director of NPA, Habib Abdullahi as the lead speaker on the topic, “Towards Effective, Utilization of Eastern Ports,’ while the Managing Director of Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC), Mr Mutui Sunmonu will deliver a paper on “Challenges of Gas supply to Power Plants in Nigeria.”
Also expected to present paper on “Fuel Importation and Challenges of Local Refining “ is the Managing Director, Warri Refininery and Petro-chemicals Company Ltd, Ekpan, Warri, Engr Paul Obelley, the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Services, Alhaji Dikko Inde, will speak on “24 Hours Cargo Clearance; The Place of Customs at Trade Facilitation”, while the Executive Secretary of Nigeria Shippers Council (NSC), Hassan Bello, is also expected to present paper on “Nigeria Shippers Council as Port Economic Regulators; Matters Arising.”
It also stated that the occasion would be used to honour individuals and organizations that have made contribution in the industry.
