Community Leader Decries Politicisation Of Woji Stool
The Chairman of Commu
nity Development Committee (CDC), Woji, Dr. Brain Ogbonda, has warned politicians against Politicising the stool of Evo Kingdom.
Dr. Ogbonda who doubles as the secretary of the Woji Town Council was speaking in an interview with The Tide recently in Port Harcourt, saying that the stool should not be politicised for any reason.
The CDC boss assured the people of Evo that they would leave no stone unturned in ensuring that the right person emerged as the new paramount ruler of Evo ingdom, as the Committee was working within the time frame given to them by the state governor to select a new paramount ruler for the Evo Kingdom.
On the re-appointment of Dr. Lawrence Chuku as the CTC Chairman of Obio/Akpor, he said the people of Woji were happy with his performance so far, given that it was the first time a Woji son would hold such position while also calling on him to look into the poor state of Woji roads and also provide the Woji Town Council with a bus.
He thanked Governor Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi for re-appointing him as the CTC Chairman, urging him to maintain his good work to the people of Woji and Obio/Akpor at large, adding that Woji people would continue to support Governor Amaechi’s administration.
Similarly, the regent of Woji Community, Dr. Tonye Chukwu said the re- of Obio/Akpor council appointment boss showed that the state governor was monitoring the performances of the various caretaker chairmen, maintaining that Dr. Chuku’s exemplary performance made the governor to re-appoint him as the CTC boss.
