Royal Father Lauds Amaechi Over Mgbuesilaru’s Stool
The paramount ruler and
Nyenwe-Eli of Oginigba Community, in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze G.B. Odum (JP), has expressed delight over the recent elevation of the paramount ruler of Mgbuesilaru Community, Eze Ejike Wali to a Second Class traditional ruler by Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, describing the gesture as a demonstration of the love the governor has for the people of Ikwerre ethnic nationality.
Eze Odum, who stated this in an interview in Port Harcourt thanked Governor Amaechi for the gesture, saying, the elevation of the Mgbuesilaru stool by the governor had brought to three the number of stools so elevated in recent times within the Evo clan.
He said he was overwhelmed with joy and happiness, when the news of Eze Ejike Wali’s elevation filtered into his ears, saying, the monarch’s elevation had made it possible for the three kingdoms in Evo clan to now have Second Class stoos. That alone, gladdens my heart,” “as it a strong indication that Governor Amaechi is a true illustrious son of Ikwerreland and a principled and dynamic leader”, he said.
He said, by the action, Governor Amaechi had evenly distributed the second class stools among the three major kingdoms in Evo Clan.
He further noted that Eze Wali deserved the honour done him by the Governor describing him as a principled man and leader, who stands by what he believes in.
The traditional ruler is also fearless and keeps to his words. “He is worthy to be emulated. He has respect for his seniors irrespective of his position in the society,” he said.
The monarch also advised traditional rulers within the Evo clan seeking for recognition to exercise patience saying recognition and elevation are turn by turn.
