NURTW Gets Multi-Purpose Card
The Director /Chief Ex
ecutive Officer of Skye Bank Plc, Mr. Timothy Oguntayo has announced the introduction of a security verified card for members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW).
The card which was launched by he Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Pius Anyim Pius is a card with features of insurance mobile wallet and an identify card.
The Tide gathered that Skye Bank was the leading Bank on the project which include other organizations like Globacom, G 3 Limited including a few other banks.
The card according to our source was part of measures in building a reliable data base for NURTW and integrating the members into the financial system.
The Skye Bank boss further said the measure was aimed also at reducing financial crimes and identify and theft among the members.
According to him, the card in addition would bear the holders photo, the logo of the holder’s organization, the S-vid logo and the bank’s logo.
He said the card would boost the cashless policy initiative of the CBN even as he said it would serve as a useful tool of financial inclusion.
The Skye Bank boss said the card would serve as a corporate identify, mobile wallet and insurance purse.
He listed the features of the card to include personal accident insurance cover to card holder of N1 million against accidental death and 850,000 against permanent disability.
