Board Reaffirms Partnership With Jounalists …Presents Computers To RSTV Chapel
The Rivers State Board of
Internal Revenue has restated its commitment to partner with media organisations in the state to improve service delivery.
The Executive Chairman of the Board, Mrs Osila Oneme Obele Oshok disclosed this during the presentation of two computer sets two split unit of air conditioners and one file cabinet to the Rivers State Television (RSTV) chapter of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Port Harcourt.
Obele-Oshok said the gesture was in response to the union’s request during their recent courtesy call to the Board adding that the gesture will help journalists working in the Rivers State Television and other staff to improve their services.
Also speaking, the state Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Mr Opaka Dokubo, said that the state council of the NUJ is impressed with the activities of the new management of the board.
Dokubo who was represented by the vice chairman of the union Mr Omoni Ayo Tamuno said that the donation will enhance the performances of members of the union in the corporation.
Chairman of the Rivers State Television Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Mr Obiandu Madume said he was overwhelmed by the gesture and thanked the Board considering them worthy of it.
Madume also assured that the items will be put into proper usage.
