Police Nab Notorious Cultists, Robbers
Two notorious armed robbery suspects and cultists reported to have been on the wanted list of the Enugu State Police Command ??have been nabbed by police operatives from the Ogui Division, Enugu, over their alleged robbery and cult operations within Ogui and its environs.
?The Command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Ebere Amaraizu (DSP) said that the suspects were nabbed on August 12, 2013 within Ogui axis of the capital city of Enugu following their long trail by the operatives based on information received from good spirited Nigerians.
?It was also gathered that the suspects who gave their names as Igatta Chinedu and Okonkwo Patrick of No 57 Onyiuke Ogui New layout Enugu were nabbed in a Toyota Camry Car with registration Number PZ 805 ENU after a gun battle between them and the operatives in which they sustained severe injuries.
?According to the Police image maker, items recovered from the suspects include one revolver pistol with ammunitions, one automatic Pump Action Rifle with five Cartridges and a Toyota Camry Car with registration no PZ 805 ENU.
?While disclosing that investigations into the incident have commenced in full scale, Amaraizu said that the state commissioner of police, Abubakar Adamu Mohammed, has lauded the efforts of members of the public in their timely and useful information leading to the arrest of the hoodlums by the operatives.
He, however, urged them not to relent in their efforts in making available useful information to the police so as to reduce crime wave to the barest minimum in the state, Amaraizu further added.
