Organisation Lauds Elga Dev Projects
The President of National
Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Etche Local Government Area Chapter, Hon. Precious Dike says the council is satisfied with the level of projects embarked upon by the Barr Reginald Ukwuoma-led administration in the area.
Hon. Dike who made this known in an interview with The Tide in Port Harcourt Tuesday, said all the projects under construction by the present administration in the area were people–oriented projects aimed at improving the lots of the people.
He expressed happiness with the level of works going on at the new Eketa Market at Umuine Igbodo, adding that the market when completed can compete favourably with any market across the country.
According to him, the market project would boost the economy of the council as well as fasttrack other developmental programmes in the area especially the host communities, noting that the market is currently built in accordance with modern facilities.
The youth president noted that the present administration in the area had done much for the youths especially with the regards on the training of youths in information technology and empowering them with starter packs.
“Our youths are happy with the administration in Etche because he has done much for the people within the shortest time in the office” he stated.
Hon. Dike urged the youths of the area to be alive to their responsibilities to the society and resist any attempt to be used by any politician to cause problem in the area, especially at the present political impasse rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in the state.
He re-affirmed the support of youth to the Ukwuoma-led administration in the area.
