Insecurity: Cleric Wants Christians To Embrace God
A cleric, Pastor Jeremiah Williams, has called on Christians to remain steadfast and hold on to God in the face of security challenges and other forms of tribulations encountered.
Pastor Williams, who is the Senior Pastor of Gospel Wealth Embassy International Church, Port Harcourt, made the call during the one year anniversary thanksgiving and church building dedication service in Port Harcourt, recently. The cleric who described the growing spate of antagonism and persecution of Christians as signs of the end time urged Christians in the country to embrace God as the only source of protection and succour.
He said Christians in the country would not consider a reprisal attack as a measure of assuaging their persecution as God was dependable enough to see them through in their challenges.
The Cleric noted that the penchant of humanity to seek alternative measures in addressing the physical and spiritual needs was futile, as only God offers permanent remedies to the problems of humanity.
Pastor Williams said the Church, which started one year ago had recorded tremendous growth because of the sufficient grace of God.
He pointed out that the fundamental objective of the Church was to impact on human positively and build people that would make heaven.
He frowned against unnecessary competition among churches and called on Christians to model themselves on Jesus by serving humanity. Highlights of the events, was special presentations from members and testimonies from repentant militants, cultists and prostitutes.
