3SC PlansReturn To Ijebu-Ode Camp
Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan has said that it will soon return to its Ijebu Ode, Ogun camp, ahead of the 2012/2013 Nigeria Professional Football League season which starts on March 9.
3SC’s Team Manager, Ajibade Babalade, told Tidesports that the team plans to return to Ijebu-Ode for the last phase of its preparation for the league.
“The Oluyole Warriors will soon be returning to their Ijebu-Ode camp to roundup its preparation for the 2012/2013 Premier League season,” Babalade said.
The manager said that the club suspended the camping in Ogun following the postponement of the league by its management board.
He said that the club’s players were now training at the Lekan Salami Sports Complex, Adamasingba, Ibadan in order to remain in form for the league.
It would be recalled that the management of the club chose the Ijebu-Ode camp ahead of the league season to avoid distractions.
The league had suffered several postponements.
It was originally scheduled to start last October but was later shifted to December.
The league was later rescheduled to start on February 16, 2013 but was again postponed till March 9.
The management of the club, in a desperate effort to win a continental ticket this season, had mandated the players to sign a Code of Conduct to be of “good behavior” throughout the competition.
The club has signed on 35 players for the season and upgraded four others from its feeder team.
