Liberia Warms Up With Niger For Nigeria
Liberia has arranged for an international training match
with Niger Republic in preparation for their Nations Cup qualifier against
Nigeria.
The Lone Stars of Liberia will face the Menas of Niger in an
international training match today at the Stade General Seyni Kountche in
Niamey.
According to the President of the Liberian Football
Association, Mr. Musa Bility, the match is being played at the request of the
Nigerien FA, who will be responsible for the air-transportation, accommodation
and appearance fee of the Lone Stars in the encounter which will be Liberia’s
fourth friendly game within the space of about a month, having previously
played against Malawi, Ghana and Equitorial Guinea recently.
The Liberians camped at the Red Bull Academy in Ghana with a
team of 14 players made up of 13 homebased players and one foreign based
player. While the remaining nine foreign based players were expected to have
joined at the camp at the weekend.
