According to him, the various programmes were aimed at creating enabling environment for Niger Delta youths to realise their potentials as well as become responsible citizens of Nigeria. He said that the career summit was organised to give students of the various schools the opportunity to be conscious of what they want to be in life. In his presentation Mr Timothy Oladapo Peterson, an industrialist blamed the high rate of moral decadence in the society on the failure of the family to live up to expectation. Mr Peterson who said that Nigeria has vast opportunities in every field of human endeavour said that it is the responsibility of every home to inculcate in their children the virtues of self realisation and leadership.
He also urged for the inclusion of moral and career counselling in school curriculum.
