Bizman Advises Bayelsa Govt On Investment
A businessman, Mr Obina Okoye, has appealed to the Bayelsa State Government to provide an enabling environment for investors to harness the enormous business potentials in the state.
Okoye, who is the Group Managing Director of Blessed Obaino Nigeria Limited, said the provision of certain infrastructure was important for smooth business activities in the state.
He told newsmen in Yenagoa that the provision of an enabling environment would not only drive the economy but accelerate overall development.
The group managing director explained that infrastructure, such as good roads, electricity, and potable water, was very necessary for business, adding that friendly tax policies would also assist.
He said: “Bayelsa has the potential for growth. So the state government should make serious efforts to see that the state develops to attain a city status.
“When that is done, you will see that investors from within and outside Nigeria will come to invest in the state just as they have done in cities such as Enugu, Port Harcourt, among others,’’ he said.
The businessman also advised freshmen in the field of business to be focused, patient and prayerful.
Okoye said these are some of the important qualities every potential investor must possess to be able to tackle challenges they may encounter in the course of doing business.
