Evangelist Set For Dedut Album Launch In PH
Rivers State born gospel artiste, Evangerlist Joy Anele is set to launch his debut album titled ‘Ezi Chineke Onye Oma’ which literally means our good God. The song praises God and his goodness to mankind.
The gospel artiste who spoke with our entertainment correspondent noted that the seven track album which will be launched next month is inspired by God to show case his wonderful works on Earth and to encourage humanity to worship him physically and spiritually.
She disclosed that she had never sang before in her life, but was surprised when God revealed to her that the time has come for her to sing his praise and glorify his good works and the same God gave her the voice and what to sing about.
The evangelist said since she took up the challenge she had received positive commendations from the public, stressing that though, she had got some challenges right from when she started singing to the point of waxing an album, God had remained faithful and crowned her efforts with success.
According to her, most gospel artistes rise and fall because of lack of Inspiration from God and called on gospel artistes not to use the word of God in vain because the punishment will be too severe to bear.
The ogbakiri born evangelist called on Christian musicians to glorify God with their songs and should not use it for personal aggrandizement which is the root of all evil.
She disclosed that the album will be launched on April 3rd at community primary school Owhipa with guest artistes in attendance including the chairman of the occasion chief Gift Worukwo, managing director Gifcon Nigeria Limited and chief Ejikeme marcus, the paramount ruler of Rumuchiakara, Choba in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area as the Royal father of the day.
Others include Livinus Agbovu, Auditor Ministry of Education and Chief Marcus, board member primary schools education board Port Harcourt among other dignitaries.

They Booed, Threw Bottles At Me – Tems Recounts
R&B star, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has recounted the early-career challenges she faced, revealing that she was once booed out of the stage while performing at a school event.
Speaking in an interview with Newsmen, the Crazy Tings crooner shared that she wasn’t only booed but was also harassed with plastic bottles.
“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation.
“But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.
Tems explained that despite the embarrassing incident and other such rejections, she remained determined to pursue a career in music.
The Tide Entertainment reports that Tems admitted that some of the initial rejections she faced could be due to her conviction to stick to her originality instead of doing covers or familiar sounds like most of her peers.
The Grammy-winning singer said looking back now, she is glad that she didn’t compromise her style despite the initial pressures.

Primeboy Pleads For Mohbad’s Burial
A close associate of late singer Mohbad, Primeboy, has appealed for the artiste’s burial nearly three years after his death.
According to him, Mohbad’s body remains in the mortuary since September 12, 2023, pending burial arrangements.
The Tide Entertainment reports that in a statement Primeboy urged the family, public, and government to permit the burial, stating, “It’s been almost three years since Mohbad left us. His body is still in the mortuary. I’m begging the family, I’m begging the public, I’m begging the government, please let’s bury our brother. He deserves a befitting burial.”
It would be recalled that Mohbad’s death sparked public outrage, protests, and investigations. Ongoing autopsy examinations, police inquiries, and legal proceedings have delayed burial arrangements amid family disagreements and public scrutiny.
