Amaechi Urges Support For ANOLGA Chairman
The Rivers State Governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, has urged the people of Andoni to give their full support to the Acting Chairman of Andoni Local Government Area, Madam Emilia Gilbert Nte.
Rt. Hon. Amaechi made the call recently during his visit to Ngo, headquaters of the local government area.
The Governor said that the council chairperson needs the full support of the people to continue with her developmental programme for the local government area.
He emphasised that the state government would look into the issue of water project for Ngo Town, while the General Hospital, Ngo, will be reactivated and Doctors posted to it.
At Ataba, the Governor also urged for support to the council chairperson.
“The other things I seek of all of you is to support the council chairman, you should allow women to rule this time, if she is not performing, the women will not have a second chance”, he said.
The Governor also urged the people to create the opportunity for reintegration of their brothers into the community, stressing that it is by so dong that development can come to the community.
In her response, the Acting chairman of the council, Madam Emilia Gilbert Nte, thanked the Governor for the visit, pledging that the council will continue with its developmental stride in the area.
